MOSTRA “NIKOLA TESLA. The Man who Lit up the World – The history of a genius” (october 16 2021 – february 28 2022)
The exhibition on Nikola Tesla intended to promote the figure of one of the most important persona in science who, with his studies, discoveries and inventions, has revolutionized the use of electricity allowing us to give energy to our homes, cities and world of industry. The exhibition was promoted with the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum in Zagreb and was organized by a series of panels on Tesla’s life and works, some videos and machines he designed that are the basis of his revolutionary scientific thinking on electricity.
The exhibition was set within the permanent collection of the museum in the section where the machines for the production of direct and alternating current are exhibited, making visible the progress of science made thanks to the work of Tesla and other protagonists of his time such as Thomas Edison, Galileo Ferraris and Guglielmo Marconi. During the visit it was possible to retrace the adventurous life of Tesla, but also the fascinating history of the scientific revolution of the early twentieth century.
For the Nikola Tesla exhibition the Museum had created a book that presented a journey to discover the figure of Nikola Tesla in the places where he lived and a documentary film produced by Roberto Figazzolo.
The book “Nikola Tesla, the Museum of Electric Technology meets The man who lit up the world” edited by Michela Magliacani, Francesco Pietra, Carlo Berizzi, is available for sale in the museum bookshop.
